The Arts Council of Livingston is sponsoring a trip to Mana Contemporary later this spring.
Mana Contemporary is a large warehouse space of exhibition spaces, ancillary services, and studios for sculptors, photographers, painters, and other creative endeavors. The structure of Mana resembles a hive that fosters collaboration, experimentation, and mutual inspiration across specialties.
The tour will be led by a docent. The Richard Meier Model Museum will be a feature of the tour and will highlight the scale models that architects create as part of their artistic and conceptual development of their buildings. There will be many other studios and exhibits to enjoy in this very stimulating and unique environment.
There will a brunch at Amelia’s Bistro in Jersey City before the excursion to Mana. American comfort food is the specialty at Amelia’s.
The trip will be on Tuesday May 15 and reservations are on a first-come, first-served basis, with a deadline for registration of May 1. The cost for the excursion is $75 and includes transportation and lunch.
