An upcoming event will help raise funds for people with Alzheimer’s disease.
The Rotary Club of Maplewood, New Jersey, is the host of the “Spin for Alzheimer’s” fundraiser, to support those suffering with the condition. Claudine Baptiste, a member of the Rotary Club and its past president, is partnering with BCB Bank for this event.
Baptiste reveals that she organized the event because she is caring for her mother, who has Alzheimer’s, and has discovered firsthand the overwhelming financial burden caused by medication, copays, and the expense of paying for a caregiver. Families that do not have the resources to cover these costs may end up declaring medical bankruptcy.
With this personal experience, Baptiste decided to organize the upcoming event and hopes people will join together to support people in need. She also notes that anyone who is aware of someone in need who could benefit from this fundraiser should contact her, as Maplewood Rotary and BCB Bank are working with her on the event.
The spin will take place on Saturday, November 4 at the Cyclebar on Eisenhower Parkway in Livingston. The fee is $25 each, and sponsorships are still available. Since space is limited, people need to RSVP as soon as possible, as the event is coming up quickly. When events like this are planned, organizers can use brochure printing to create pamphlets that explain both the illness, and how contributions will be used to help.
