Chamber to hold special tasting event

Numerous restaurants will showcase their cuisine, and hundreds of people will be able to sample beverages, main course, appetizers, and desserts at the Taste of Essex being held later this month at The Manor in West Orange, just a few miles from Livingston.

According to the President of the North Essex Chamber, Jo Ann Short, there are many outstanding restaurants in the County and it is becoming a popular destination for dining. This event enables businesses to promote their cuisine and enables customers to try foods from many restaurants across Essex County that they may not otherwise be able to try.

The scholarship fund of the North Essex Chamber, which rewards one graduating high school senior in each of the nine towns served by the Chamber, will receive the proceeds from the event.

Italian, Indian, Greek, Asian, and many other cuisines will be at the event. Restaurants will also be judged in the categories of savory and sweet by the event’s sponsors, some of which include Nancy Silver, Licensed Massage Therapist, Spencer Bank, and Barnabas Health.

The Taste of Essex will be held on Monday, March 30 from 5:30 pm to 9:30 pm. Flyer printing may be used by the Chamber to create materials to generate enthusiasm in the community for the event and attract as many attendees as possible.
