Camp Stuff 4 Less in Livingston is giving back to the community by selling homemade face masks.
Lori and Andrew Stern, co-owners of Camp Stuff 4 Less, are doing this to demonstrate their commitment to the community. The masks are being sold at no profit as they did not want to benefit from something that is needed for safety reasons.
The daughter of Dana Goldstein, a salesperson for the organization from North Caldwell, has raised more than $7,000 by selling about 1,000 masks with Camp Stuff 4 Less. These funds have been distributed to several organizations to purchase protective gear for their employees. She was able to distribute the masks personally in the local area while Camp Stuff 4 Less distributed them in surrounding communities. Lori Stern said that this effort was a labor of love and enabled the group to be able to support the community in some way.
Among the organizations that have received such gear are the North Caldwell Police Department, Saint Barnabas Medical Center, Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, and Daughters of Israel Nursing Home. Corporate Gifts can also help to support such organizations.
Camp Stuff 4 Less has given back to the community many times in the past. At various fundraising events, it has donated baskets of merchandise or a portion of its sales to local schools and other organizations.
