Art classes scheduled in Livingston
Young people in Livingston will have a unique opportunity to learn about art this summer.
The Art Council of Livingston (ACL) is offering an art experience similar to those found in a museum. Young people who are interested in art will work with a docent or art instructor, who will lead discussions and tours about groups of artworks.
Students who take part in the series will be urged to explore the power of their own imaginations in open-ended discussions that will incorporate fundamental principles and terminology that applies to art. Following these discussions, the attendees will undertake a fun, creative project when the student will keep the artwork they just viewed in mind as they interpret it in new ways, using various materials.
The location of the classes is the ACL Gallery, which is at 2115 Town Center Way. The sessions begin on Wednesday, August 3 and continue each week through the end of the month. Different ages will meet on different days, with seven-to-nine-year-old children attending from 10:00 am until 11:30 am on Wednesdays, and nine-to-twelve-year-old children having classes from 4:00 pm until 5:30 pm on Thursdays.
Art can enrich youngsters’ lives and the classes should be fun for everyone. When instructional classes like this are scheduled, organizers can use brochure printing to create booklets for students, explaining terminology, concepts, and the outcomes expected from those who attend the event.
