Animals adopted and money raised at annual pet expo

The Livingston Pet Adoption Expo was recently held at The Shoppes at the Livingston Circle, and raised $550 for local rescue groups and animal shelters. In addition, nine cats and dogs found new homes.

‘Adopt a Forever Friend’ was the theme of this year’s event. In addition to the event’s hosts of the Eastman Companies and The Shoppes at the Livingston Circle were the Livingston Police Department, volunteers from Livingston High School, and the Healthy Community Healthy Youth Initiative of Livingston.

At the expo, attendees were able to watch presentations by the Livingston Robotics Club and Seeing Eye Puppy Club of Essex County, visit the Pet Photo Booth, and have caricature artist Neil McMillin of Neillustrations sketch pictures of their pets. Regal Bank, Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza, and Master Pizza donated food and beverages.

There were also activities for younger guests that included poster painting at the booth of the Livingston Arts Council, and Alyssa Immitt and her children – Jacob and Morgan – applying glitter tattoos.

Some vendors from The Shoppes at the Livingston Circle also participated in the event. Hand and Stone Massage and Facial Spa provided mini-massages, while Wine Legend held summer wine tastings.
