The Hudson Helps Resource Center is now opened at Hudson County Community College (HCCC) in Jersey City.
The center is at the Journal Square Campus of the college and will provide counseling, financial assistance, goods and services, and many other programs to HCCC students throughout the year both in-person and virtually. Such new centers often use brochure printing to provide more details about its services and offerings.
President of HCCC, Dr. Chris Reber, said that this new center will provide an umbrella of services to the community. He added that the idea behind the center is to remove those obstacles that prevent students from being successful in their studies and completing their certificates and degrees. He said there will be a wide range of resources and services that will ensure their academic success and serve their various needs.
The culinary department of the college will be providing some of the food at the center, which will also offer counseling on nutrition, mental and emotional health services, and spiritual counseling. It will also provide technological support and loans of Chrome Books.
There will be the Career Clothing Closet, with clothing donated by Lord Abbett, an asset management company in Jersey City, that will have accessories and business attire so that students can dress appropriately for job interviews and other professional matters.
