Jersey City to open space for international businesses

The New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA) has announced that SOSA USA LLC will be operating the New Jersey Business Acceleration and Softlanding Ecosystem (NJ BASE) in Jersey City.

The focus of NJ BASE will be to attract international companies in industries that are important to the economy of the state, such as fintech, artificial intelligence, cyber security, and other innovative technologies. Businesses will also be afforded the opportunity to establish themselves in New Jersey and have access to the market in the United States so they can expand, create long-term high-quality jobs, and attract investment.

The base will be on 3 Second Street in Jersey City and accommodate approximately 15 to 20 companies as a first cohort. The space spans 7,200 square feet and includes event space and conference facilities. Such sites often employ banner printing to inform residents of upcoming endeavors like this.

SOSA will manage the leased office space of NJEDA and oversee its daily operations. Their contract is for a term of three years, with two optional one-year extensions.

Tim Sullivan, Chief Executive Officer of NJEDA, expressed his excitement about partnering with SISA to launch NJ BASE and welcome foreign companies to the state. He added that the state’s position on the global stage will be strengthened by NJ BASE by fostering innovation and building lasting international partnerships.

NJ BASE is expected to open in the coming months.
