Jersey City residential tower ready for occupancy

A new residential building, the tallest in New Jersey, is now completed.

The new tower is 79 stories high and overlooks the waterfront of Jersey City. Costing $500m, the building was designed by Perkins Eastman and developed by an affiliate of China Overseas America, Inc. It was financed with international revenue and without the use of subsidies or abatements.

There are 781 units in the building, which has many amenities, including a café and club room, a game room, a playroom for children, and a fitness center indoors. Outdoors there is a hot tub, swimming pool, sauna, and other features. There is also retail and commercial space in the building and an outdoor plaza. Such amenities and features are often highlighted with brochure printing.

Mayor Steven Fulop said that it adds to the attraction of the city, which might become the most populated in the state. He added that it is the first condominium development in almost 10 years to be built in the city and is unlike the more common luxury rental units in the city.

The tower at 99 Hudson Street is one block from services and PATH and is expected to attract residents in an area that was once filled with office space. It is also expected to recreate the Paulus Hook area of the city.
