Additional housing to come to Jersey City

The Planning Board of Jersey City has approved the development of 30 Park Lane North in the Newport Northeast Quadrant of the city, across from the Newport Green and west of The Beach.

Minno Wasko, based in Lambertville, is the design of the project. The development will have 387 units, with two four-bedroom, 333 three-bedroom, and 175 one-bedroom units, and 24 studios. The tallest building in the project will have 33 stories and be 362 feet tall with a shorter section that will be six floors high for a parking garage with 379 spaces.

The building will feature glass walls and brick and pre-cast stucco. Units facing outwards will have balconies. There will be a terrace on the sixth floor with amenities such as outdoor fitness equipment, fire pits, lounge areas and grilling areas, and ping pong tables, among others. There will also be 200 parking spaces for bicycles. Such features and amenities are often outlined in detail with brochure printing.

There will also be two floors of storefronts on the first floors with a restaurant that will span 2,732 square feet and retail space spanning 4,709 square feet along the extension on River Drive.

The project is being developed by LeFrak, a family-owned company that is committed to long-term ownership and development. The company has not announced dates for the groundbreaking or when the project is expected to be completed.
