Summer music series continues in Freehold

Freehold hosts a series of concerts in the summer, which is continuing, much to the delight of music fans.

The Downtown Freehold Thursdays Rock! Summer Concert Series is back with the final concerts of the summer. The bands on the schedule are Winslow, Turnstyles, and a tribute band for Van Halen.

Winslow is a tribute band to The Eagles. The name of the band comes from a line in The Eagle’s hit song “Take It Easy” that says “Well, I’m standin’ on a corner in Winslow, Arizona . . .” The tribute group comprises musicians who have a love and understanding of The Eagles’ music and have dedicated themselves to recreating their live performances and signature sound. Audiences can expect to hear The Eagles’ hits, from “Take It Easy” to “Hotel California” and more. They also play some of the solo works by Joe Walsh and Don Henley.

Van Halen is one of the most successful bands in history. They formed in Pasadena in 1972, and the original lineup comprised Eddie Van Halen, Alex Van Halen, Michael Anthony, and lead vocalist David Lee Roth. VH1’s “100 Greatest Hard Rock Artists” list placed Van Halen at No. 7.

Winslow appears August 7, the Van Halen tribute is set for August 14, and Turnstyles plays August 31. The concerts are held at the Hall of Records at 1 East Main Street in Freehold. Organizers of events like this frequently promote them with Posters, which they can find at Print shops.
