Freehold looks forward to its summer staple party

Freehold residents have an event coming up that has been a community tradition for years.

Freehold Township Day is a celebration of the community itself, and will be held, as always, in Michael J. Tighe Park, which old-timers still refer to as Liberty Oak Park. A summer staple, the event is back for 2026. When they plan festive celebrations like this, organizers can use banner printing to create themed decorations that work well outdoors.

The celebration honors veterans and will be especially important this year, with it being the 250th anniversary of the United States. Residents from around the county will enjoy entertainment for both children and adults, and will have a chance to learn about local businesses.

Other planned activities include local vendors, food trucks, free rides for children, and a teen center complete with a DJ and free admission. Live entertainment will be provided by the Phil Engel Band and Screaming Broccoli. Both are party bands that play corporate events, weddings, private parties and other occasions, and both gig throughout New York and New Jersey.

Freehold Township Day is scheduled for Saturday, July 11, from 4.00 pm until 11.00 pm. The car show will open at 2.00 pm, ahead of the other festivities. The park is at 65 Georgia Road, and the celebration is free to attend.
