Freehold residents with a love of baked goods and creative pursuits can look forward to a cookie-decorating workshop this month.
The Spring Sugar Cookie Decorating Class and Lunch will be welcoming registered students soon, providing a hands-on experience where they will mix, munch, and decorate sugar cookies in a welcoming and fun setting. The class is expected to last around two hours, with the instructor covering the basics of decorating. It is a suitable workshop for interested parties even if they have little to no experience.
The class will learn how to perform piping using royal icing, discuss different decorating strategies and their benefits, and cover the commonly used concepts related to dough and icing combinations. All required materials will be supplied with the cost of enrolment. Organizers can work with printing services to promote such events and provide high-quality instruction and recipe sheets to add to a positive learning experience.
Each student will leave with three decorated sugar cookies that reflect the class’s spring theme. Lunch will be provided by the Tulip Tree Cafe, with options including a spring mix salad, a mini croissant sandwich, fresh fruit, and coffee or tea.
Tulip Tree Cafe, located on Adelphia Road in Freehold, will host the cookie-decorating class. It is scheduled for Sunday, April 19, and tickets are $60 per person online.
