Freehold announces next concert series

Freehold is continuing its practice of presenting live entertainment for everyone to enjoy.

The city’s Fall Concert Series kicks off with performances taking place in front of the Hall of Records. All shows are free of charge and begin at 7:30 pm.

The first band on the schedule is Almost Santana, which was founded by Richard “Dr. Ricky” Rodriguez, the percussionist. He sought to find other musicians who loved Santana’s music and play it as accurately as possible.

Next up is the Elton John + Billy Joel Tribute Band, playing the classic music of the two legends. They will be followed by Acoustic NRG, a trio comprising Lee Ottman handling vocals and the guitar, Dan Palladino as vocalist and guitarist, and Tony DeFabritus as vocalist and keyboardist. They cover songs from the 1960s (such as “Sloop John B”) through to today (“Circles” by Post Malone).

Black Dog, which was established in 2000, comprises accomplished musicians and is a tribute band for Led Zeppelin, and The Ruckus is a Jersey Shore party band that plays hits from artists such as Tom Petty, Van Halen, and Queen.

Almost Santana plays on September 2, followed by the Elton John + Billy Joel Tribute Band on September 9. The following week it will be the turn of Acoustic NRG on September 16, then Black Dog on September 23, and finally The Ruckus on September 30. Events like this can benefit if organizers use poster printing to create advertising for them.
