Special celebration to honors veterans in Freehold

An upcoming event in Freehold will pay tribute to the nation’s veterans.

The Veteran’s Community Alliance is teaming up with Freehold Township to host the 19th Annual Freehold Township Day. The schedule includes vendors, live music, and of course, fireworks. There is also a Vet Car Show, free rides for the youngsters, and a Teen Center, which is also free.

Live entertainment is courtesy of the Phil Engel Band. This party band plays for weddings, corporate events, and parties of all kinds. The band offers options that include solo performers, duos, trios, four pieces, or the full band, which will appear with or without its brass section. They play everything from pop to rock to classic radio favorites. They also enjoy playing country music, adding in fiddle and pedal steel guitar.

The Vet Car Show welcomes imports, trucks, street rods, hot rods, customs, and classics. Registration for the show will be done at the door, and a $15 donation is suggested. Trophies will be awarded to winners in various classes of vehicles, and all monies raised at the show will go to help local veterans.

The fun is scheduled for July 9 at Michael J. Tighe Park, from 4:00 pm until 11:00 pm. The car show will run from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm, and the fireworks follow at 9:15 pm. Festive events like this can be enhanced if organizers use banner printing to create fun, weather-resistant decorations.
