Popular community event returns to Freehold

A family-friendly event delighting people of all ages is returning to Freehold.

This year is the 2nd Annual Touch-A-Truck event, and organizers promise this year will be even bigger and a lot better. More than 75 emergency vehicles will be on display, along with classic cars, utility vehicles, trucks, a hot air balloon, a helicopter, and even more.

In addition to having a chance to climb all over vehicles that are usually not available to the public, the event includes face painting, a petting zoo, inflatables, live bands, theatrical performances, and 16 food trucks.

Vehicles on display will come from a range of organizations, including the U.S. Coast Guard and police departments from Amtrak and New Jersey state. Companies such as UPS, Bil-Jim Construction, Rizzo & Sons Excavating, Garden State Vintage Stock Car Club, Harris & Sons United Rentals, Coast Cities Trucking, and Allegiance Trucks, among many others, will also supply vehicles. Re/Max will be supplying the hot air balloon.

The venue for this year’s event is the East Freehold Showgrounds, which has plentiful parking for everyone. Touch-a-Truck is a fundraiser to help support children in New Jersey battling cancer. Organizers of events like this can use brochure printing to create educational pamphlets describing the pieces of equipment and how they are used. The event is set for Saturday, October 7 from 11.00am until 4.00pm.
