Music night sees Freehold hit Rock Bottom

A popular cover band will be providing the entertainment soon in Freehold.

Rock Bottom is a cover band based on the Jersey Shore that is quickly becoming one of the area’s most popular bands, playing larger and larger venues and entertaining at prestigious festivals, weddings, and corporate events.

Rich Villalva, a New Jersey native with an impressive vocal range, handles the duties of lead singer. He says he likes to be as versatile as he can, because:

“It’s fun for me to come out with stuff nobody would ever expect.”

Several female vocalists rotate through the band, including Brynn Taylor, Raquel Ramos, Any Hariegel, Dee Farace, and Rosie Dior.

Marc Coccio, Rob Lyon, and Vince Viano round out the group. Coccio is one of Rock Bottom’s founders, playing the guitar and guitar synthesizer, where he creates the sound of a string orchestra or a horn section. This means the band can play a variety of genres and styles.

Rob Lyon is on the bass, and worked in Pennsylvania for more than 20 years before moving to New York City, where he found work as a session musician. The drums are the domain of Vince Viano, who is also a vocalist. He has played with stars including Debbie Gibson and The Village People.

Rock Bottom will be at The Cabin Restaurant on Saturday, December 2 at 10:30 pm, where organizers can use poster printing to create advertisements for the event.
