Music continues in Freehold

Music in the summer is a staple in many communities including Freehold, which is continuing its summer concert series.

The free concerts bring attendees outdoors to enjoy the weather, have a meal downtown, visit the Court Street Vendor Market, and then listen to the concert. The audiences range between 1,500 and 2,200 people for each performance. The shows bring people to the downtown area to patronize small businesses - a win for the city.

The first outfit on the schedule is the Gab Clinque Band, with Gab Clinque as the frontman, Fran O’Brien handling keys and guitar, drummer Anthony Walton, bassist Steven Franklin, and Matt Stanley on guitar. The group started in 2022 in New Jersey and plays both original songs and covers of classic rock tunes.

Next up is The Ruckus, with the current lineup of vocalist Dave Stefanic; Dino Colarocco on bass guitar; guitarist Ralph Mercuro, and drummer Roman Dino. The Ruckus is a party band that plays hip-hop, country, dance, pop, and rock, all to keep things moving.

The next week belongs to the Van Halen Tribute Band, followed by Turnstyles.

The Gab Clinque Band plays August 1, The Ruckus is August 8, the Van Halen Tribute Band is August 15, and Turnstyles wind things up on August 22. When events like this are planned, organizers often use poster printing to create colorful advertising, listing the bands, to bring people out to have fun.
