An upcoming event in Freehold will raise funds for some very special children.
618, a beautiful restaurant and venue in Freehold, is the host of the upcoming 3rd Annual Make a Wish Gala. The funds will help support critically ill children. An auction will be held as part of the fun, and organizers will be happy to speak with anyone who would like to donate a basket for this purpose.
The Make a Wish Foundation is a well-known non-profit organization that was inspired by Chris Greicius, a little boy with leukemia who dreamed of becoming a police officer. In 1980, members of the Arizona Department of Public Safety and the Arizona Highway Patrol granted his wish. He rode in a police helicopter, sat on a motorcycle, and was sworn in as a member of the department. When they saw the positive impact their activities had on Chris, those involved with him founded the organization. Make A Wish has seen that granting wishes helps children become stronger, more able to fight, and sometimes, turn things around completely.
The Make a Wish Gala is scheduled for November 21 from 6.00 pm until 10.00 pm. A table, which can accommodate as many as 12 guests, is priced at $1,200. 618 is at 618 Park Avenue in Freehold. The goal this year is to raise $30,000 at this single event. Advertising for events like this often takes the form of Posters, which organizers can obtain from local Print shops.
