Huge event in Freehold

A fun event that is a signature of summer is coming to Freehold.

The 2023 Monmouth County Fair is coming up and promises a week of great activities and entertainment everyone can enjoy. Among the planned events are 4-H exhibits and shows, fireworks opening night, and an exhibit by the Park System, “Huber Woods Dawn to Dusk.”

The list of performers offers a wide variety including The Raptor Project Birds of Prey, Robinson’s Racing Pigs, Mutts Gone Nuts, Flying Fools High Diving Show, and Whips & Danger Tricks.

Acts appearing on the Main Stage include the Sensational Soul Cruisers, Coast 2 Coast Philly, Jessie’s Girl, The Nerds, and The Amish Outlaws.

As well as all this, there will be rides courtesy of Campy’s Blue Star Amusements, along with games that give fairgoers a chance to win prizes.

The heart of the fair is the Home & Garden Competition, which gives crafters and growers a chance to compete in the categories of flowers, vegetables, photography, art, needlework, and crafts.

The fair is scheduled for July 26 to 30 at the East Freehold Showgrounds on Kozloski Road in Freehold. The hours are from 4:00 pm until 11:00 pm on July 26, 27, and 28; from 11:00 am until 11:00 pm on July 29; and from 11:00 am until 6:00 pm on July 30.
