VFW Post 4374, along with I Love Horror, are presenting their upcoming event, Heavy Halloween. The VFW post will be the location of a heavy metal concert featuring Dead Center, Show No Mercy, and Maiden America. During the breaks, DJ Alex Kayne will be in charge of keeping the music going.
Dead Center is based in Newburgh, New York, and formed in 2021. They say they are:
“. . . some guys who are having fun!”
Maiden America first got together in 2017, and are an Iron Maiden tribute band who often play throughout central Pennsylvania and neighboring regions. They focus on Iron Maiden’s classic period.
In addition to the bands, dozens of vendors will congregate at the Raise the Dead Outdoor Vendor Village. Shoppers will be able to find items of all kinds, many with a Halloween theme. For those who get hungry and thirsty, food trucks will be on hand.
The organizers are planning a light show, and attendees are invited to take part in a video shoot.
Heavy Halloween is set for September 30, beginning at 3.00 pm at the VFW, 50 Waterworks Road. The cover charge is $15, which will help to support the VFW and its programs. Children under sixteen will be admitted free of charge, and people are encouraged to bring lawn chairs if they like.
