Like any self-respecting place should, Freehold is about to celebrate…Freehold.
Olde Freehold Day is coming up, giving residents a chance to enjoy food, drink, music, and food, all in an atmosphere suitable for families. While many of the details are still being finalized, it is already known that the dunk tank is back.
The musical lineup thus far is The Eddie Testa Band, The Half Brothers, Step Aside, and NickEl. The Eddie Testa Band is a staple at Olde Freehold Day and a Jersey Shore tradition. This party band plays classic rock, R&B, and soul that will get people up and dancing.
The Half Brothers are a duo who are well known and enjoy performing throughout Pennsylvania, New York, and New Jersey. Heshy and Stan have been playing for 48 years, and are known for their skill as acoustic guitarists, close harmonies, and easy-going style.
The acoustic duo of NickEl is headquartered in Ocean County, and is coming to Olde Freehold Day for the first time. The band plays a variety of tunes arranged to show off their close harmony.
A special part of the day is the Pajama Drive. Anyone coming to Olde Freehold Day is encouraged to donate a pair of new (still with tags) child’s PJs, the more colorful the better, for use in local hospitals.
Olde Freehold Day is August 5, at Lake Topanemus. Organizers of outdoor events like this can use banner printing to create decorations for the venue.
