Freehold set to celebrate

Freehold, New Jersey, is getting ready to hold a party, celebrating itself.

Olde Freehold Day is a free event suitable for people of all ages. There will be a lot of the fun activities typical of this type of celebration, including vendors with a wide range of goods, a beer garden, a car smash, corn hole, food vendors, and a Kids’ Zone.

Visitors to the Kids’ Zone will find pony rides, a soccer skill course, games, an inflatable obstacle course, a petting zoo, a hula hoop contest, a tree house slide, an inflatable giant slide, bouncy rides, and games. The fun takes place on Lake Topanemus.

Although the day is free, a $2 per vehicle donation is suggested. Once people park their car, they can take a free hayride to the event. There will also be buses available to take passengers from Monmouth County Court Street to the venue. The celebration is handicap accessible, and anyone who would like to make a donation by mail can do so at Olde Freehold Day, Borough of Freehold, 51 West Main Street, Freehold, NJ 07728.

Olde Freehold Day is on August 6 at Lake Topanemus Park in Freehold, from 12:00 pm until 5:00 pm. Since weather is uncertain at outdoor events like this, organizers can use banner printing, which is sturdy and weatherproof, to create Signs labeling the attractions at the site.
