Freehold in December is packed with fun

Freehold, New Jersey, has so many activities coming up in December it will be difficult to get to all of them.

The month kicks off with the official Tree Lighting, which will take place in front of the Hall of Records on East Main Street.

The Howell High School Drama Club and Shore Luxury Limo are teaming up to run the Jolley Trolley, which takes people on a tour of Freehold. During the ride, skits are performed at various locations that show what life was like in Freehold on a frosty winter evening a century ago.

There are two brunches planned with Santa Claus, carolers will stroll throughout downtown Freehold, and official activities end with the Menorah Lighting.

The Tree Lighting is December 6 from 5.00 pm until 7.00 pm, while the Jolley Trolley runs December 9 from 5.00 pm until 9.00 pm; December 10 from 4.00 pm until 9.00 pm; and December 10 from 9.30 pm until 11.30 pm. The late run is for people 21 and over, who are invited to bring their own alcoholic drinks.

Brunches with Santa are December 11 and 18 from 11:00 am until 3:00 pm at the American Hotel, the carolers will be on hand December 15 from 6.00 pm until 8.00 pm, and the Menorah Lighting is in front of the Hall of Records on December 19, from 5.30 pm until 6.30 pm. Organizers of events like these can use banner printing to create seasonal outdoor decorations.
