Flemington families set to learn about bats
Flemington families have access to a variety of opportunities to connect with nature, and one of these will introduce them to one of its local night flyers.
The community's Nature Walks series visits a variety of venues, and each has its own themes. One planned for late October will explore the hidden world of bats, and while the free activity is open to all, children must be accompanied by an adult.
The presenter for the session will discuss the species of bats that call Hunterdon County home, and they will also discuss the threats they face and how the public can lend them a helping hand The audience will find out how they fly and about their role in the ecosystem they inhabit, and the function will be held in Room 5 of the Hunterdon County Senior Center. Registration will remain open until all spaces are full or October 22nd, and it will run for one hour.
Workshops, presentation sessions and similar activities provide a way to share a lot of information in a small amount of time. Organizers often hand out copies of additional learning materials, and these can be ordered from local print shops.
Flemington families have been invited to be part of this introduction to the hidden world of bats on October 22nd. This is best suited to those age 8 and up.
