Flemington families invited to Earth Day festivities

Echo Hill Park will soon be playing host to an Earth Day celebration, and this Flemington activity is open to all ages.

The whole family is on the guest list for the Earth Day Festival planned for the Park, and children must be accompanied by adults at all times. Admission will be free of charge, and those interested can simply drop by, as no registration is needed.

This year will mark Hunterdon County’s Park’s and Recreation Department’s 22nd Earth Day festival, and there will be lots to see and do. Rizo’s Wildlife World will have animals on hand to meet, and Bash the Trash will show how recycled materials can be transformed into musical instruments. Hunterdon County Clean Communities has sponsored the displays and educational presentations, and area 4-H clubs will have displays on offer as well. Make and takes and tables and booths set up by local environmental groups will also be on site. Everyone can try their luck at fishing and discover the creatures that call the location’s stream home.

When organizing an environmentally focused event, planners often want to pick “green” Promotional Products to hand out. These can be ordered from area printers.

The 22nd annual Earth Day Festival will show Mother Nature some love on April 18th. It will run from 9:30 am until 2:30 pm. The park is located at 42 Lilac Drive in Flemington.
