Tribute to Mayor of Margaritaville near Londonderry
It is time to go to the tropics and honor the Margaritaville Mayor.
The band Changes in Latitudes is a tribute band to Jimmy Buffett that performs throughout the country, offering “Trop Rock” numbers in a family environment.
Changes, like many tribute bands, does more than perform Jimmy Buffet songs – the band reproduces the entire Buffet concert in an authentic manner, traveling with a tropical stage designed to exactly copy Jimmy’s legendary live shows.
Fans of Jimmy Buffet can expect to hear hits such as “Volcano,” “Cheeseburger in Paradise,” and, of course, “Margaritaville.” Staples such as “Southern Cross,” “Brown Eyed Girl,” and the hit Buffet co-wrote with Alan Jackson, “It’s Five O’Clock Somewhere” are also on the setlist. When events like this are scheduled, organizers can create programs by using brochure printing.
Jimmy Buffet is known for the “island escapism” of his music, which he has been playing since the 1960s. He has also written music for film and television, and is a best-selling author.
The show is scheduled for next Thursday, August 4 at 6:30 pm at LaBelle Winery in Derry, a short distance from Londonderry. The cocktail hour is scheduled for 6:30 pm on the Terrace and in the Vineyard Room, followed by the performance, which begins at 7:30 pm. The Vineyard Ballroom has open seating, and organizers suggest that those who wish to sit together arrive together.
