Popular tribute band plays near Londonderry

A band celebrated for its authentic recreation of the music of the band it honors is coming to the Tupelo Music Hall in Derry, close to Londonderry.

The Phil Collins Experience has been called the most authentic of the bands that pay tribute to Phil Collins and the band Genesis. They have received praise for the way they faithfully recreate the sounds and sights of a Phil Collins live performance.

Englishman Terry Adams Jr. plays the “role” of Collins, whom he captures perfectly. Like Collins, Adams drums left-handed, which adds to the performance’s authenticity. Adams has a twelve-piece backing band with an outstanding horn section and backup singers that will take Genesis fans back to the band’s most notable days. Audiences can expect to see and hear authentic renditions of hits including “Sussudio,” “Against All Odds,” and “In the Air Tonight.”

Very few recording artists have sold more than 100 million records throughout the world, both as solo acts, and as part of a band. These rare musicians include Michael Jackson, Paul McCartney, and Phil Collins. Among his many awards, Collins numbers eight Grammys, an Oscar, two Golden Globes, and a Disney Legend Award. He also wrote “Another Day in Paradise” to raise awareness about homelessness.

The Phil Collins Experience follows Collins’s example and raises money to help people in each community where they appear. The concert is scheduled for March 21 and can be supported successfully if organizers work with poster printing methods to create advertisements.
