Great White today comprises bassist Scott Snyder, drummer Audie Desbrow, guitarist/keyboardist Michael Lardie, guitarist Mark Kendall, and vocalist Brett Carlisle. Kendall is the only member who has been with the group since its inception, but the numerous personnel changes haven’t stopped the hits.
Great White released their first album, ‘Great White,” in 1984, but it was their third album, 1987’s “Once Bitten,” and the follow-up, “. . . Twice Shy” (1989) that were their breakthrough. Both albums were rated Platinum by the RIAA. In addition, “. . . Twice Shy” was nominated for a Grammy for Best Hard Rock Performance in 1989. The band toured the world in support of the album, sharing the spotlight with Britny Fox, Bandlands, Warrant, Kix, Tesla, Ratt, Bon Jovi, and joining Alice Cooper’s Trash tour. The band now has 13 studio albums to their credit, and sales of over 10 million albums. A review says:
“With an energetic young new vocalist and a host of musicians who sound as strong as ever, the show was everything fans of this band wanted.”
Great White will be at the Tupelo Music Hall in Derry, a few miles from Londonderry, on October 9. When they arrange events like this, organizers often contact local Print shops to obtain Posters to advertise them.
