A special event in Londonderry is continuing a tradition that has been ongoing for almost 40 years.
“Santa Live!” is a special occasion during which parents are encouraged to bring their children to the Londonderry Access TV studio, where they will appear on live television along with Santa and Mrs. Claus, making them television stars for the evening.
Youngsters will talk with Santa live on television, tell him what they hope to receive for Christmas, and discuss life at the North Pole.
There is no charge to attend the event, and parents are welcome to take photos of their children and the event for themselves. In addition, the station will have videos of the fun available so people can enjoy memories for years to come. Also, there will be light refreshments available, and Santa will give every child a gift. There are three government and public access channels in Londonderry, CTV-20, CTV 170, and Gov 22, all produced at the Londonderry Access Center.
“Santa Live!” is scheduled for December 13, from 1.00 pm until 3.00 pm. The studio is located at 281 Mammoth Road. Santa and Mrs. Claus would like to know how many guests to expect, so they are asking people to RSVP.
