An upcoming concert in Derry, next door to Londonderry, will celebrate two albums by one of the most groundbreaking bands in rock.
Kashmir-The Spirit of Led Zeppelin is a tribute band with Jean Violet as its frontman. Their current tour is the 55/50 Tour, referring to the albums “Led Zeppelin IV,” released in November 1971; and “Presence,” released in March 1976. Kashmir plans to take audiences on a tour of both albums, highlighting their soundscapes.
“Led Zeppelin IV” was an immediate commercial and critical success upon its release, selling more than 37 million Copies throughout the world. The album includes the iconic “Stairway to Heaven.”
“Presence” stands out from LZ’s other works because of its intense energy and visceral sound. It was recorded during a challenging period in the band’s career, since singer Robert Plant was recovering from injuries sustained in a car accident. The album characterizes the artistry and resilience of the group.
Jean Violet founded Kashmir in 2000 in New York City, where they performed on the street. Today they perform both the deep cuts and the iconic hits that have thrilled fans for decades. They physically resemble the original performers and have the same musical talent and stage presence as Led Zeppelin themselves.
Kashmir will appear at the Tupelo Music Hall on October 9. Performances like this can benefit when organizers use poster printing to create advertisements for them.
