An event that people in the Renaissance would recognize is coming to Londonderry.
Twins Smoke Shop is the venue for King Saka’s Faire, a feast planned in the Renaissance style. Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust (DT&T), a cigar company founded by Steve Saka, is curating the experience.
Long banquet tables will be set up under tents illuminated by a roaring fire, where guests will enjoy typical Renaissance fare, such as turkey legs. Live entertainment will be part of the evening, and King Saka will oversee the proceedings.
Seating will be determined by the DT&T purchases patrons make, or by their pledges, and tables can win prizes. The Peasants’ Table is the lowest level, available for $200. Patrons at this table have a chance to win a Sakacon statue.
For $300, people will be seated at the Merchants’ Table. They will be closer to the king, and prizes here are a Unicorn cigar and a Sakacon statue.
Next is the Knights’ Table, which requires a $400 pledge. These seats are closer to royalty, and potential prizes are a Unicorn cigar and a DT&T ashtray.
The Lords’ Table is for those who pledge $500 or more, with potential prizes of a Unicorn cigar, DT&T cutter, and a DT&T ashtray.
The event is set for June 6, from 10.00 am until 6.00 pm at the Twins Smoke Shop, 80 Perkins Road in Londonderry. Events like this benefit when organizers use flyer printing, an economical measure, to create handouts for local distribution.
