Londonderry welcomes rock veteran
A rocker with a long pedigree is coming to Londonderry next month.
Mike Campbell & The Dirty Knobs will appear at the Tupelo Music Hall soon. Campbell is a record producer, songwriter, and guitarist, who was part of the stellar band Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. While he was with that group, he and Petty co-wrote some of the group’s biggest hits including “Here Comes My Girl,” and the iconic “Runnin’ Down a Dream.” He is a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
While a member of Petty’s group, Campbell had projects as a songwriter and session guitarist with other artists. He can be heard on many albums released by Stevie Nicks, and on “The Boys of Summer,” a hit for Don Henley. He toured the world with Fleetwood Mac during 2018 and 2019.
He was the guitarist and lead singer for The Dirty Knobs while he was with the Heartbreakers. Campbell said the Knobs’ sound compared to the Heartbreakers’ work was:
The group released “Wreckless Abandon,” their debut album, in March 2020. The outfit dropped a new single, a cover version of “Humdinger” by the late J.J. Cale, in 2021.
Mike Campbell & The Dirty Knobs will be in Londonderry on March 25 at 8:00 pm. Poster printing is the perfect choice for organizers of events like this to use to create outstanding publicity.

“. . . slightly over driven, less polished, lots of Sixties influence: The Kinks, Led Zeppelin, The Animals.”
