A popular annual event is on the schedule again, as Londonderry gets ready to bid summer farewell.
Every year, Londonderry residents celebrate the end of summer and coming of cooler weather with a traditional fair. The Apple County Craft Fair has been held annually for more than 30 years on the beautifully kept grounds of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church.
Vendors at the fair are talented craftspeople from the local area, who will be displaying various goods such as textiles, handmade jewelry, specialty foods, hand-painted wooden items, glasswork, pottery, and much more. Over 60 crafters are expected to set up their displays throughout the grounds of the church.
In addition, the fair is a juried event, which means the vendors who wish to participate must submit their application to participate to an impartial “jury,” usually those organizing the show, by a certain date. The jury will then review the vendors’ requests and approve those who will align best with the event being planned.
In addition, food will be available from the SurfDogz Food Truck, and other baked goods and treats will be available. A raffle is planned, and people will be able to find bargains at a resale booth.
Over the years, the fair has become one of the region’s most popular events. This year, the event takes place September 10 and 11 at St. Peter’s. When an event like this is planned, organizers can use flyer printing to create a list of vendors.
