Iconic metal band to perform at local hall

A band that was the first group in history to top the charts with a heavy metal album is coming to the Londonderry area.

Bassist Kelly Garni and guitarist Randy Rhoads established Quiet Riot in 1973, in Los Angeles. In addition to Garni and Rhoads, the original lineup comprised drummer Drew Forsyth and vocalist Kevin DuBrow. This lineup changed, and when Quiet Riot broke into the mainstream, DuBrow was the only founding member left.

In 1983, with DuBrow working with drummer Frankie Banali, bassist Rudy Sarzo, and Carlos Cavazo on guitar, the band dropped “Metal Health.” The RIAA rated the smash hit album 5x Platinum, and this is the album famous for being the first album of heavy metal music to climb to the top of the Billboard 200 chart.

Thus far, the band has released 14 albums and sold over 10 million albums worldwide. They were ranked No. 100 on VH1’s list of the 100 Greatest Artists of Hard Rock. A review says simply:

“Quiet Riot still rocking the house . . .”

Appearing with Quiet Riot is the band All Sinners, which is based in Boston and is known for their Dirty Rock/Metal music. The band released their EP “All Sinners” in 2023. The EP includes the songs “Believer,” “Rise Up,” “Buried Alive,” and “The Hunted.”

The concert is scheduled for December 19 at the Tupelo Music Hall in Derry. Organizers of events like this may want to contact Print shops to develop Posters for the show.
