Liz Longley is based in Nashville, Tennessee, and has won praise for her vocal talent and her ability to connect with her audience through the deep emotions evident in her music. Her flair has led a few of the nation’s most important songwriting contests, such as the BMI John Lennon Songwriting Scholarship Competition, to acclaim her.
Her album “Liz Longley,” which she released in 2015, was described by the Dallas Morning News as:
“. . . something more; a cleverness, a wit and a mix of musical styles,”
and HuffPost called it “stunning.” She followed up that effort with “Weightless” in 2016, which again received laudatory comments, like Popmatters’ remark that the album was:
“. . . packed with instantly memorable pop rock songs…”
Longley is a graduate of the Berklee College of Music, and has funded most of her projects herself, or via Kickstarter campaigns. Billboard Magazine wrote about her Kickstarter success, revealing she was the fourth most-funded female solo artist in the platform’s history. A concert review says:
“What I came away with, however, was a first class musical experience which was both high quality in production and content.”
Liz Longley will be at the Tupelo Music Hall in Derry, a short distance from Londonderry, on April 7 at 8pm. Organizers of events like this can bring in audiences with attractive advertising they create using poster printing.
