Common music series continues in Londonderry

Summer nights in Londonderry are still filled with music as the concerts continue.

The Londonderry Arts Council established the Concerts on the Common series to bring cultural events to the community. The upcoming artists are Martin and Kelly, and Studio Two Beatles Tribute Band.

Martin and Kelly (Jilly Martin and Ryan Brooks Kelly) are returning to the series to the delight of their fans. The artists are rapidly becoming a “must-see” duo, thanks to their ability to bridge the divide between contemporary and traditional country music. Their musicianship, outstanding harmonies, and innovative original music has won them fans as well as attention from the music industry, and they have supported stars like Alison Krauss and Willie Nelson.

Continuing the country theme, Lark NH Line Dance will give a free line dancing lesson before Martin and Kelly appear. The dancers will be found in front of the stage.

For the fourth year in a row, Londonderry is welcoming Studio Two, a tribute band for the Beatles. Studio Two is known for their authentic renditions of the Beatles’ early touring and club performances. Studio Two exactly recreates the stage presence, look, and sound of one of the most famous bands in history. They use vintage instruments and share the same type of banter used by the Fab Four.

Martin and Kelly appear August 6, and the Studio Two Beatles Tribute Band plays August 13. When they set up events like this, organizers can use poster printing methods to create effective advertising.
