An initiative is being launched by Wake Forest University that will lower barriers for first-generation college students who are looking to apply to the university. Students in this position residing in nearby Youngsville may be interested in this new program.
The Early Action program will enable first-generation college students to learn about their admission decision by January 15. This will enable them to consider offers of financial assistance options and admission to other colleges before making a final decision.
The Early Action program is non-binding and will provide the ability for students to apply to other colleges before making a final decision. Through this program, Wake Forest hopes that more first-generation students will be encouraged to apply to the university and to have the power to make a decision that is best for them.
More details and information about such programs are often made available with brochure printing.
Eric Maguire, Vice President of Enrollment Management, said that Wake Forest has always been committed to first-generation college students and supporting their success and access to college programs. Maguire added that the advantage of this program is that students who want to attend Wake Forest will have this Early Action option and will know that the university wants to create more opportunities for them, and that it values their experience.
