New university president announced in Youngsville area

Peter Rodriguez has been appointed as the next president of Wake Forest University.

This may be of interest to students attending the university from nearby Youngsville and other places in the community. Rodriguez is currently the dean of the School of Business at Rice University. Such announcements often call for business card printing services.

Rodriguez has many years of expertise in public finance, economic history, and international trade. Throughout his career he has been committed to diversity, global engagement, and academic success. At Rice University, he brought the Jesse H. Jones Graduate School of Business to greater national recognition and established the Virani Undergraduate School of Business.

The chair of the Board of Trustees and co-chair of the Presidential Search Committee, Jeanne Whitman Bobbitt, said:

“The Presidential Search Committee unanimously agreed that Peter Rodriguez was the best choice to lead Wake Forest into its third century.”

Bobbitt added that the board was able to learn more about Dr. Rodriguez as an avid learner and a scholar, and as an intellectually capable person and researcher.

The vice chair of the Board of Trustees and co-chair of the Presidential Search Committee, Curt Farmer, pointed out that Dr. Rodriguez is a trained economist who has a strategic mind and an insatiable curiosity, and the board was highly impressed with his steady leadership, business acumen, and academic credentials.

Rodirguez will begin his new role tomorrow, July 1.
