The goal of the North Carolina Gateway to Wake Forest University initiative is enable students who are high achievers to have greater access to the college regardless of their family income.
Susan R. Wente, president of Wake Forest University, said:
“The North Carolina Gateway to Wake Forest University demonstrates our deep commitment to students from our home state. It says clearly to students and families who may not have considered Wake Forest because of cost: ‘Wake Forest is within your reach.’”
The income range of a family determines how much financial aid a student will receive. At the lowest level, students will receive funds that cover tuition and basic costs of living while those students whose families are at higher income brackets will receive 50 percent of the tuition costs.
More details about such initiatives can be made available with brochure printing.
Wente supports this initiative so that those students from various levels of income can attend the university and receive a life-changing education. Leaders at the university said that this imitative builds on the long running efforts of Wake Forest to reduce loans which students receive.
