Avelo Airlines recently announced a change to its flight schedule out of Wilmington International Airport that will provide an expanded fall travel booking window with the airline.
The latest announcement comes on the heels of an earlier schedule extension that enabled the booking of flights up to a deadline of August 18, 2026. This newest extension will allow booking through November 17.

The extension seems to belie Avelo’s earlier announcement of its intention to abandon its Wilmington base and cut back on service to several destination in an effort to focus operations on its key bases in other states. According to Wilmington International Airport officials, the affected destinations have adequate services provided by other carriers to and from the city. Whether the schedule extension demonstrates a change of heart for the airline remains to be seen.
Avelo at present provides service from Wilmington to six nonstop destinations including: Philadelphia-Wilmington, Delaware; Washington, D.C.-Baltimore, Maryland; Rochester, New York; New Haven, Connecticut; Nashville, Tennessee; and Tampa, Florida.
Reservations can be booked online at the airline’s website. According to Avelo one-way fares will start at $47.
Avelo began flying out of Wilmington in 2021 and has systemwide transported millions of fliers.
