Columbia organization Strength and Conditioning Factory is offering local youth various opportunities to attend Play 60 Summer Camps.
Play 60 is a nationwide exercise and nutrition program developed to help kids build a healthier lifestyle. Play 60 Promotional Products, such as the T-shirts worn by camp attendees, fill up the fields as trainers encourage youngsters to build a better self.
The Columbia Play 60 is run by JD Franklin and Carlos Hall. They are both qualified professional trainers and previous professional football players.
The camp is a weeklong program designed to help children build stamina, flexibility, and mobility. During the workouts, the children are encouraged to cheer each other on as well as try to push themselves and others to reach for goals they may have thought were beyond them. Camp attendees are also taught about nutrition and the importance of a healthy diet.
The trainers running the camp will adjust each drill to the ability of the individual child. Realizing not everyone fits one mold, the trainers also motivate the children with encouragement and praise.
At the end of each workout, children are treated to a movie and a healthy snack. Attendees during the week are also offered the opportunity to listen to guest speakers and attend an award ceremony as well. Those wishing to attend should visit the Strength and Conditioning Factory website and click on the Play 60 Logo Design to register.
