Columbia festival celebrates local waterways

Columbia's rivers and streams are home to some thriving ecosystems, and the flora and fauna there will be introduced during an activity scheduled for late June.

The Columbia Water Festival will celebrate local waterways, with a special focus on the animals found in them. It will be filled with activities for those age four and up, much of it incorporating hands-on learning.

The plans for the day will give a sneak peek into the lives of turtles, bugs, fish, and birds, and guided tours of Connor's Cave are on the agenda. Many of the activities are scheduled for the start of the Devil's Icebox Trail, and everyone can try their luck at catching and observing aquatic animals. Local organizations will host meet and greet stations to explore.

When preparing to take part in community events, organizations may choose to order Business Cards so they can quickly share their contact details. A business card printing company will have numerous options to choose from, including ones with an embossed ensign.

The Columbia Water Festival will bring aquatic fun to the area on Saturday, June 27. The festivities are set to begin at 9:00 am and there is no need to register in advance. More details, including where to park, can be found on the Visit Columbia website or by calling Rock Bridge Memorial State Park at 573-449-7402.
