Contemplation 2014 is taking place in Columbia for three days this July. The beneficiary will be Contemplation Children's Charities, which is currently raising money to help with children's transplant surgeries.
The event will feature several guest speakers, dealer tables, art vendors, and a party. The emcee is William ‘Bear’ Reed and the guest of honor for this year is writer Glen Cook. Other guests will include artist Angela Lowry and fan Sherri ‘ConBarbie’ Dean. The party will be hosted by the Mojo Brothers and will feature musical entertainment from Big Damn Heroes and Mikey Mason.
Dealers can rent table for $75 each or $100 for two. Art vendors can rent panels for $15 for a full one, $10 for half, and $5 for a quarter.
Dealers are expected to be selling a variety of merchandise of interest to science fiction fans, which could include photographs, DVDs, and Books. To draw attention to their tables, vendors from Columbia and elsewhere may invest in services like banner printing to attract more people and boost their sales.
