The 7th annual Wine and Food Festival is taking place at the end of the month in Columbia. Several events are on the agenda as organizers from Inside Columbia Magazine look to showcase food from the state of Missouri.
The first event planned is the ‘Made in Missouri’ farm-to-Table dinner. This seven-course meal will be prepared by chefs Dennis Clay, Brook Harlan, and Matt Robertson, featuring a range of vegetables and meats. Each course will be paired off with six different Missouri wines. Tickets for the dinner are $95 each and guests meet at the Inside Columbia offices before being shuttled to Blue Bell Farm.
Next will be three ‘Wine, Dine and Design’ dinners on different nights, which cost $75 each. This features a five-course meal with three to four wines, and it will be held at Inside Columbia's Culinary Adventures. The chefs include Sara Fougere and Adam Wells-Morgan.
These two events will be followed by ‘Seeing Red: a Blind Wine Tasting and Sip and Shop’, which will provide guests with a passport for shopping discounts. Columbia brochure printers may have helped provide the special passports that will be used by shoppers.
Made in Missouri will take place on September 29 beginning at 5:30 pm, while Wine, Dine and Design Dinners will be held from September 30 to October 2. To find out more about all of the events in the Wine and Food Festival, contact Kalie at 573-442-1430.
