Summer is on the way for Columbia, and the city will be celebrating the season by offering the public three special shopping days.
Downtown Columbia provides the public with an opportunity to find everything they might need as well as lots of options for dining and other activities, and it will bring back its Dog Days Sidewalk Sale this July. Residents and visitors alike will be able to engage in some retail therapy while supporting small businesses, and free parking will be available in the evenings as well as on weekends throughout the summer months.
The location for the activity, which is fondly known as “The District” by locals, will see its merchants set up pop-up sales in front of their establishment. Shoppers can stroll along, scoring bargains as they go. Hungry visitors will be able to choose one of its food service establishments, and the experience is intended to be casual and relaxed.
Many cities have found value in designating certain commercial neighborhoods as shopping districts. Those that do can have a unique Logo Design prepared, and this branding can then be used on city Letterheads and other marketing materials.
This year's Dog Days Sidewalk Sale will be held on Columba from July 27 to July 30. It will be centered around The District, which can be found at 11 South Street.
