Columbia to offer professional development for doulas

Doulas provide support and services to women and their partners during pregnancy, childbirth and the early postpartum period, and a Columbia gathering will offer these professionals the opportunity to mingle, network, and learn.

Dubbed Doula’s Day Out, the function will run throughout its scheduled date, and tickets are $45 each. It is open to birth workers from across central Missouri, and brunch may be purchased separately if desired.

The morning will open with a midwife panel, during which they will discuss what sorts of support they provide to women giving birth. After this, the group will break for brunch, which may be purchased at one of the eateries in the vicinity of the venue. The afternoon will include a roundtable talk, as well as time for questions and conversations, and the day will wrap up with a presentation that reviews nutrition. Anyone with an inquiry about the activity asked to contact abbycapedoula@gmail.com.

Professional development opportunities may be appreciated by those who work in a particular field, and this can help to ensure their skill and knowledge are up to date. Certificates of completion, handouts, and bound texts can all be prepared by Stationery printers for distribution to the learners in a class, workshop, or other event.

Doulas Day Out has been scheduled for Saturday, October 26. It will begin at 9:00 am sharp, and midwives at all levels are welcome to attend, including student and assistant midwives.
