Columbia school to host information session

A Columbia event will help high school students explore the world of opportunities on offer for them after they graduate.

An in-person activity will be taking place at the Columbia Area Career Center, and it will offer a sneak peek into the courses it has available. Anyone who would prefer to participate form home will be able to do so, and there are special tickets for this virtual option.

During the presentation, the attendees will meet instructors and students, learning why they feel the institution is a good fit for them. Examples of student work will be shared, and the participants will find out how attending classes at the center may help put them on the road to future success. Raffle draws will take place and an assortment of Corporate Gifts and other items donated by the school's local partners will serve as prizes.

Many post-secondary institutions and vocational training schools choose to host information sessions so that the public can discover all they have to offer, and brochure printing companies will be able to help by creating well-presented handouts that can be given to young people to help them make informed decisions.

Columbia Area Career Center has made arrangements to host this session on Thursday, January 20. It will start at 5:30 pm and continue until 6:45 pm.
