The Friends Room at the Columbia Public Library will soon host an activity that may be a real boon to crafters on budget.
Area crafters who have overstock on supplies, have some leftover materials, or simply want to create some space are encouraged to bring them to the venue for a supply swap. All are welcome, whether or not they bring items to share.
Those who would like to take part can drop their material off the day before at the library’s Welcome Desk or bring them to the swap itself. There will be facilitators on hand to keep everything running smoothly.
Materials should be brought in a resealable bag or other container. They should be in good condition and clean, and any opened jars or cans of paint or glue cannot be accepted. Any materials not picked up will be considered a donation and may be used by the library during its programming.
A swap or other activity where materials are exchanged can be both fun and thrifty, and may also give area residents an opportunity to meet one another. A flyer printing company can craft materials that ensure such a function is well attended.
