Columbia golfers to support cause for kids

Columbia golfers will soon have an excuse to spend some time out on the links, and while they get into the swing of things, they will be helping local kids.

The Club at Old Hawthorne is set to host the Golf Classic for Kids fundraiser, and the monies raised will be used to help fund an assortment of mental health initiatives for children and youth. These are administered by KVC Missouri, which has a regional hub in Columbia.

Golfers in the tournament will play through 18 holes, and they can show off their skills in the on-course contests. Beverages will be served out on the links, and everyone will receive special player Corporate Gifts. Before the play begins, the registrants will be treated to brunch, and while they enjoy the meal, they can mingle and network.

As well as the golf, brunch, and other perks, each player will be invited to attend the function’s Awards Reception. Any local companies that feel this activity is good fit for their marketing campaign are invited to check out the sponsorship packages available, starting at the Hole level, which is $250.00.

This day of fun in the sun while supporting kids’ mental health will open at 10:00 am on Monday, October 16. Tickets and more information are both available to the public on its website.
